IMPORTANT INFO RIGHT HERE!!!

Ok lovelies! So we hit our 100% room block…what does that mean?!

The room block is the number of sleeping rooms the hotel contracts us to book in order to get “run of the house” and to cover the cost of the convention space. “Run of the House” means the hotel will not book non-Frolicon peeps during the 3 nights of the convention. Covering the convention space cost means that Frolicon doesn’t go out of business (seriously. That shit is expensive.)

Here’s some things you need to know!

1. At the moment you can not book a room at the hotel. THIS WILL BE FIXED ASAP (which may be Monday…because the weekend). When the room block cut off date expired yesterday at 5pm it shut down our webpage link to book rooms. And since we have “Run of the House” there is no way to book via general reservations. This is just an oopsie on our part. If you haven’t booked your room yet DO NOT PANIC!! DO NOT BOOK AT ANOTHER HOTEL!! DO NOT BURN ALL YOUR CLOTHES IN A MASSIVE FIT OF HYSTERIA!! I got you, boo 😉

2. Getting our 100% room block DOES NOT mean the hotel is sold out! There are 100+ more rooms in that hotel than our block requires so again DO NOT BOOK A ROOM AT ANOTHER HOTEL!! There are plenty to go around.

3. Getting our 100% room block DOES NOT mean we have complete and total autonomy at the hotel. We can NOT run naked through the halls. We can NOT skinny dip in the pool. The hotel still has VERY public spaces like the lobby, the restaurants, the pool area, the elevators, the hallways, etc. All previous rules regarding con-space vs. public space still apply!

As soon as I hear back from the hotel regarding the reopening of the block I will post here and on FL so everyone can be on the same page.
